Figurative Sculpture

Valorian in Process
Photos by DLH
This is Valorian, queen of the 92103 Fey. At this point in her development she is fully sculpted and ready to be painted, wigged and draped. She is made of a combination of Flumo, Premier and La Doll. The bracelets on her right hand are sculpted of Premier and will  be painted to look like tortoise shell. The bracelets on her left hand and the rings are sheet styrene. Hopefully, I will be able to metalize them effectively. Her right arm will disconnect so that she will be able to get her clothes on. All of my pieces are fully sculpted like this. Finishing the skin that shows is time consuming. It is much quicker to fully drape her.  Even though a great portion of her body will be covered, for modesty, the full musculature really gives the clothing something realistic to hang on.

If you are interested in how Valorian's armature is constructed please go to the Hollow Armature page.
